FAQ
What is a Fresh 48 Session?
This is a lifestyle session done in the place of your labor (hospital, home, etc.) and is typically done within 48 hours of baby's birth.
During this session, we get to capture you getting acquainted with your little one without the added stress of giving birth.
WHEN DO WE SCHEDULE NEWBORN SESSIONS?
Newborn sessions are typically scheduled after 1 week and before
6 weeks of baby's birth. Exceptions are given for NICU babies and unique circumstances: contact me for details.
When will I get my photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
For a 1 hour session, you will receive ALL the images. I guarantee 40 images, but typically deliver between 60-70 per hour of coverage. I always choose quality rather than quantity, with a focus on those images that will capture every detail and connection important to your family.
WHAT IF MY BABY IS OLDER THAN 6 WEEKS? CAN I STILL BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION?
Yes! However, I do want you to understand that after around 6-8 weeks, babies become more alert and mobile, and your images may reflect that.
WHEN DO WE SCHEDULE THE MATERNITY SESSION?
Maternity sessions are best done at the end of the second trimester or the start of the third trimester. Obviously exceptions can be made, and there are no real rules to when you should document your growing body.
I'M WORRIED ABOUT MY BABY GETTING SICK. WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SPREAD ANY GERMS?
As a mom myself, I completely understand and echo this. My number one priority at every photo session is to keep everyone safe. If I develop any symptoms before your session, I will communicate that with you and we can create a plan from there (usually we'll reschedule).
When I arrive at your session, the first thing I'll do is ask to wash my hands. During the session, I make an effort to not touch baby, and instead ask adult family members to move baby as needed. I also follow CDC guidelines for Covid-19 restrictions.
